IUC : Graduation ceremony of Bachelor and Master programmes

It is with a visit to the laboratories that the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Buea, Pr NGOMO Horace MANGA, began this day at the University Institute of the Coast on January 11, 2023, guided by Founding President of this institution, Mr Paul GUIMEZAP, accompanied by the Director of SEAS (School of Engineering & Applied Sciences) of the IUC Dr KENOU Willy. At the end of this exercise, the satisfaction of the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Buea was total, he also mentioned it in his speech today, so as to encourage student to lay more confidence in the IUC. As for the ceremony itself, in addition to the staff of the University of Buea, we noted the presence of various Presidents of the Orders of Engineers (Civil Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical, etc.)

As required by Anglo-Saxon tradition, this graduation ceremony for 474 students from the various promotions of Bachelor in Management Sciences (B.Sc), Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech), Bachelor of Sciences in Engineering (B. Eng), Master of Engineering and Master in Business Science, took place in a festive atmosphere. It must be said that the IUC is a godsend for students of Anglo-Saxon background, who want a specialized training in different fields of engineering. The IUC stands out for its equipment and its experienced staff, who like the Founding President, constantly seeks perfection, as proof, Dr. KENOU Willy has just been promoted to the rank of lecturer during the last Interuniversity Consultative Council (CCIU).

The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Buea, Pr NGOMO Horace MANGA, expressed his satisfaction for this partnership agreement signed between the University Institute of the Coast (IUC) and the University of Buea (UB), through its school "School of Engineering and Applied Sciences" (SEAS), according to which quality training in the Bachelor cycle will take place on the various campuses of the IUC. The Bachelor cycle being a multidisciplinary training, professionalizing and open to foreigners, it trains Cameroonians and foreigners from the sub-region, holders of a baccalauréat or GCE A/L all series combined or holder of the BTS or the HND.

Pioneer in this kind of partnership with the UB, the IUC offers several types of training through IUC-SEAS, including:

• Bachelor of Agriculture (plant production, animal production, aquaculture, agri-food, agri business);

• Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical;

• Master of Engineering;

• Masters in Business Science.

In addition to the University of Buea, several other partnerships oversee these trainings. These include those of the University of North Alabama-USA, Ziwikau University of Applied Sciences-Germany, Royal Agricultural University-UK.

In its constant quest to always train better, the IUC brings great and profound innovations that meet a real need of our current society. With this training-employment adequacy, the slogan of the IUC "the School of High Technologies at the Service of Companies" finds all its weight in gold.

C’est par une visite des laboratoires que le Vice-Chancellor de l’Université de Buea, Pr NGOMO Horace MANGA, a débuté cette journée à l’Institut Universitaire de la Côte ce 11 janvier 2023, guidé par le Président Fondateur de cette institution, M. Paul GUIMEZAP. A la fin de cette visite, la satisfaction du mVice-Chancellor de l’Université de Buea était totale, il l’a d’ailleurs mentionné dans son allocution de ce jour, appelant ainsi à faire plus  confiance à l’IUC. Pour ce qui est de la cérémonie proprement dite, en plus du staff de l’Université de Buea, on a noté la présence des différents Présidents des ordres des ingénieurs (Géni civile, Electrique, Mécanique, …)

Comme l’exige la tradition anglo-saxonne, cette cérémonie de remise des diplômes aux 474 étudiants des différentes promotions de Bachelor in Management Sciences (B.Sc), Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech), Bachelor of Sciences in Engineering (B. Eng), de Master of Engeneering et de Master in Business Science, s’est déroulée dans une ambiance de fête. Il faut dire que l’IUC constitue une aubaine pour les étudiants de formation Anglo-saxonne qui veulent une formation pointue dans les différentes filières de l’ingénierie. L’IUC se démarque par ses équipements et son personnel rompu à la tache, qui comme le Président Fondateur, cherche sans cesse la perfection, pour preuve, Dr KENOU Willy vient de passer au grade de chargé de cours lors du denier Conseil Consultatif Interuniversitaire (CCIU).

Le Vice-Chancellor de l’Université de Buea, Pr NGOMO Horace MANGA, a dit toute sa satisfaction pour cette convention de partenariat signée entre l’Institut Universitaire de la Côte (IUC) et l’Université de Buea (UB), à travers son école « School of Engineering and Applied Sciences » (SEAS), selon laquelle des formations de qualité en cycle de Bachelor se feront dans les différents campus de l’IUC. Le cycle Bachelor étant une formation pluridisciplinaire, professionnalisant et ouvert à l’international, il forme les camerounais et les étrangers de la sous-région, titulaires d’un baccalauréat ou d’un GCE A/L toute série confondue ou titulaire du BTS ou du HND.

Pionnier dans ce genre de partenariat avec l’UB, l’IUC offre plusieurs types de formations à travers IUC-SEAS, notamment :

●Bachelor of Agriculture (Production végétale, Production animale, aquaculture, agroalimentaire, Agri business) ;

●        Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical  ;

●        Master of Engineering ;

●        Master in Business Science.

En plus de l’Université de Buea, plusieurs autres partenariats encadrent ces formations. Citons entre autres ceux de l’University of North Alabama-USA, de Ziwikau University of Applied Sciences-Allemagne, de Royal Agricultural University-UK.

Dans sa quête permanente de toujours mieux former, l’IUC apporte chaque fois de grandes et profondes innovations qui répondent à un besoin réel de notre société actuelle.
